Hey there! đ
This is Ana, I'm the Portuguese member of this new international team that has gathered here in Bergolo. We, Ana, Mili, Daryna, Berke and Abdou, are all from different countries and I couldn't be happier with the cultural mix we are all emerging ourselves in. From different accents while speaking English, to little details such as how your name is culturally structured, we have had the chance of knowing a bit more about each one's path that lead us to cross lives in such a remote and beautiful place as Bergolo â¨.
I feel like the welcoming period has become a journey considering every day's news and learnings. On the first day, even though tired of the travel đĽą, I got to know new faces and exchange some knowledge about myself and the people surrounding me, during and after a great dinner of pasta pesto đ and a chocolate cake đŤ for dessert.
The next days were presented with supermarket visits in the
nearest town, a wonderful picnic to celebrate the orthodox easter, and a good welcome to our teammate Daryna đ¤.
Of course, I couldn't forget about walking around and seeing the beauty of our new home, even though it took us only 20 minutes to do so đ.
Our first week of tasks introduction has already started and a lot of new projects were opened for us to get involved in, for example, our Italian classes and countries' presentations to the local teens; and projects that will start from scratch, for example, the terrace renovation plan that I and Daryna put our hands on and want to make it grow! Can't wait to show you the final results đ (please no hopes up, but we'll give our best!).
Thank you for being there, I would definitely recommend you to visit this small wonder in the north of Italy, and follow through on our next months of exciting projects đ.
For now, I will leave a photo of mine in the office when I wrote this (too long) blog post. Hopefully, we'll get pictures of us altogether to show you in the future!
(Yes, I'm 24...)
Take care!
